| I love life! haha. A lot has changed since that last entry, for sure. In fact, EVERYTHING has changed. New job, new boyfriend, new major, new school, new puppy even! haha. So let's start from the beginning... November: Kind of a blur. I started hanging out with Ash more in that time period, and briefly saw this guy named Nick. Cool guy, but a little dull for my taste. December: Where things really started taking off. A couple weeks into December, a good friend of Ash's, Matt, asked me if I would take some pictures for him at his kids' wrestling match (he was coaching wrestling at a local middle school, which he had been doing for a few years). I did that for him, and well...the rest is history. lol. A few weeks into it, I came to visit him on his practical deathbed, and he admitted to me that he did, in fact, love me. Which might seem silly or like it's not a big deal, but..Ash has known him FOREVER, and she said he's seen girls for years at a time and never told them he loved them. He's not one to just toss that term around. Anyway, he's an incredible man, and maybe I should just dedicate a whole section to him. Haha...I think I will. You can opt not to read that part. January: New job!! After being reprimanded for my poor attendance and shitty work ethic at PetSmart, I decided that maybe the reason for my poor performance was the fact that I was beginning to hate my job. So..I put in my two weeks notice. And started to work for Blue Buffalo pet food company, a job I got through Ash. Basically, I go into the Aurora/Joliet PetSmarts and talk to customers. I don't have any certain amount I have to sell or anything, which is nice...I get to set my own hours, come and go as I please, and get paid $12/hr to boot. It's pretty much AMAZING. lol. Infinitely better than PetSmart. - January also brought a change of school. I decided not to go to ISU, because I had a change of major, and thought it would be silly to pay more to go to ISU and take just gen eds. So, I started attending College of DuPage. I'm going to take a couple more classes there in the summer, and with that, I should be able to get my Associate's degree, and start off in the fall (wherever that may be) with all gen eds complete. School is going pretty well so far, ESPECIALLY spanish. Oh God. I forgot what it was like to be in a REAL spanish class. It's spectacular. :)
February: This month was probably the most stressful. THIS was the month where I was trying to figure out EVERYTHING. What to major in, where to apply to school, not to mention deadlines for applications were on March 1st. But, after much soul searching and internal debating, I decided on my major: Spanish, with a concentration in Business, and I'll also get my K-12 teaching certification. And hopefully add another minor in there somewhere. I'm going to have so many opportunities, it's so kickass. I still don't know where I'm going to school, but I've applied to a bunch of places, so I have time to decide yet. And now...we're already in March!! I can't believe how quickly everything is flying by. It's okay with me though, I absolutely cannot WAIT for summer. Ok ok...I'm going to be lame and give Matt his own section. haha. He..is..amazing. He's 21 years old, a former wrestler (he's got that to thank for his tree trunk thighs and massive ass), has long hair, is a total metalhead, and I love him to death. He also has a two-year-old daughter, Zoe, who I also adore. To see those two interact is just..heartwarming. I know that sounds cheesey and lame, but really...I love nothing more than to watch those two together..Just the expression he has when he looks at his daughter..priceless. She's so so adorable too, she always calls for me, and asks me for mints in the car. She calls me "Kay Kay." "kay kay, you comin?" haha...Man, I love that kid. But yes. Matt. I've honestly never been happier with anyone in my life. He's so thoughtful, and he doesn't let me stay mad at him, which is an amazing new concept to me haha. I've never been mad at him for more than 5 minutes. And he calls me everyday. Which is DEFINITELY not something I'm used to. lol. But yeah...he's told me that I've "revived a broken man." Which just makes me feel so great. :) Anyway...yes...he's fantastic, and continues to amaze me as the days pass. Oh and I also got a really really cute puppy, Wrigley, in December. He's a yorkie, and is terribly cute. Aaaaaaaand now I really need to get ready for class. But Ashley told me to update, so I did. Was that enough of an update for ya? haha. Well. Bye! |
